Default Question about rear end

On a 1999 f-150 4x4.

im going to loosen the rear axle away from the leaf springs to allign the leaf springs since they became crooked over the years and now began to clunk. question is, how am i going to align everything up correctly? is there something as a rear end alignment? what is the best way to go about this.

I don't think you have to remove the axle just to replace the leaf springs...
