Default Question about power

Hey ya'll - my '01 screw 4x4 is running a stock 5.4 with 3:55 gears. I cranked the T-bars and am running 34.5 tires. They are fairly heavy though.
My question is about power - or the fact I seem to have a lack there of...

Acceleration is not all that great really and I'm curious about the most cost effective ways to gain some power.

Would the best bang for my buck be to step up to gearing in the 4:10 range? I anticipate needing some tranny work in the next 12 months too so I am trying to keep that in mind.

I don't expect this truck to be a race car, but I would like a little more pep.

Help a brotha out yall! Thanks

Long tube headers, exhaust, sct tuner are good. Zip tie mod will help you recover lost power and the gotts mod is good too

bigger gears for sure with those tires your dragging around. I wouldn't go bigger than 33's with 3.55, the butt dyno will feel you there and like it lol

I'm running 37s on 3.55s and its not much different than my brother inlaws 33s and 3.55s. He actually said awhile back my truck would beat his, pretty much the same exact truck other than tires.

If they made a chip for your truck maybe. But they don't.
