Question about e-brake front cable
Hi all, I am a new member. I just bought a 99 F-150 yesterday. Today I did new belt and hoses, replaced broken sway arm link, replaced missing shock bushing, replaced fluid in read differential, fixed wiring to the power seat, cleaned MAF sensor and a lot of other stuff.
What I need help with is this:
The front emergency brake cable, the one which runs from the pedal to the junction of the left and right rear cables, is seized up and will not budge. I even attached a come along to the cable, it would not budge. It looks like the outer sheath is cut where the cable went through the flloor board, and most be rusted solid.
I removed the cable (I had to cut one end) and the emergency brake pedal assembly. I absolutely can not figure out how to remove the old cable from the pedal assembly. Is it permanently attached?
I have found a lot of useful information on this forum already, thank you.
