Question about door jamb sticker/options
So I bought my 1997 f150 not knowing what it had for a Trans or rear end so I did some investigating and it has a bigger rear end and bigger Trans as well as 1000lbs heaver brakes what does this mean are they different calipers? Bigger Pistons in the calipers? Here is my door jamb sticker

Yea, not for the F150's. C-Class is for the twin piston calipers if I recall. Great calipers, but the rotors are too weak and warp. It's an easy fix tho, you don't need larger, even if your towing close to max -just purchase the HD Bremdo's. You get a lot more for just a little moor. These won't heat up and will be the last rotors you'll ever need for that truck. Update the brake hoses at the same time, - Ford used cheap hoses and they don't last very long. You need exception flow with the twin piston calipers or you'll keep wearing stuff out.
Ford engineered an excellent system but used cheap hardware for the most part, - the calipers are the exception. The rear shoe system in the back is just as great to assist with braking. Some just don't understand that lol.
Lets see, yea you have a 5.4L engine, 3:55 rear gear..w/LS and a E4OD/4R100 Trans. Nice!

You have a GVWR 6250. what cab configuration is it? is it 4wd? All the info is in the factory owners manual. If you dont have it, I can look it GVWR. The only difference in 97 was the 7700. Which you do not have.
