Default Pypes M80 question.

Hi Guys, sorry to post another exhaust question but I'm literally finding NOTHING about these mufflers and our trucks and I just wanted to find out if anyone on here had one and how they liked it. I only want to throw a hundred bucks or so at it, so I'm just going to clamp in in place of the stock muffler and clamp a tip on the end. I'm worried it would be too quiet and be pointless, I'm 16 and if i'm going to do exhaust, I want it to have some noise and sound good. I've ruled out glasspacks and straight pipes, but a Cherry Bomb Extreme is also one I've been tossing around.
Thanks guys

the M80 will be loud, it's a straight through style. I put the Pypes violators on my 2003 Mach 1, which are a step down in volume from the M80 according to their website, and my car is loud, I think the M80 will be plenty loud enough.

One more question, would I be cheaper taking it to a shop to install the muffler, or buying the pipe myself and clamping it together?

It will be cheaper to buy clamps and install it yourself but I like my things welded. A shop charged me 80 bucks for labor and pipe to install my Flowmaster 10 series.

ok, sounds like it'll be around 120 for the m80 or the cherrybomb with pipe and clamps. What type of clamps would be best to use, a band style or u joint style?

The straight through tube/cherry bomb/LoudMouth's sound best with Catalytic converters in place. I HATE the loud mouth LM I & II's but the new Cherry Bomb mufflers actually have a pretty good tone through them. I haven't used many of the others except on race cars so they were just meant for passing tech.

If you're someone who hates Turbo muffler drone they could be a good choice if you're not willing to part with a small fortune for stainless Magnaflows or Bora.
