Default Pulley? Help

Is this what they refer to as a "pulley"? Mine fell off today and I can not locate the bolt/cap that holds it on. I'm looking at salvage yards with no luck. Ford wants 95 bucks for the whole thing and I don't need the whole thing.

Also, what is the risk of driving (very lightly) with out it for the next couple days until I can find one?

That looks like either and idler pully or a belt tensioner pulley. It may be available at autozone or napa, thats where I got mine for my jeep. You'll need the bolt unless ford replacement comes with a new bolt. So you may have to go to a yard afterall or just buy the bolt from ford and the pulley from a parts house.

Thanks. Ford sells the "pulley" and bolt together but I'm not spending that much for a bolt. So, I suppose I will continue my salvage search...

Default umm, yeah

This is stupid. Ford has the whole kit for almost 100 bucks. Autopart stores have the pulley but no bolt or bushing! (not even sold together) and Salvage yards have no F150s.....

How long can I drive on this thing before the belt slips?

What do you mean before the belt slips. If this is the tentioner pully as long as the belt is tight where it wont slip off I would think that it would be ok to run it lightly.

If this fell off and the belt is still on, I'd be a bit suspicious. What should happen when this fell off is you should find it hard to steer, the engine would die when the battery runs dead from not having the alternator to charge it and when you turn your defroster on it will scream like hell.
