Default Ptm grill surround

Someday I'm wanting to paint the surround white like my truck but is it going to be completely different. I ptm my bumper but the closest it gets to the body is like 4 inches so even without a gloss clear it looks fine. But with the surround being rite next to the body is it going to be a noticeable difference?

You'll want to gloss clear it, it's quite noticeable

But is the two whites going to be a slightly different color because of fade?

It shouldn't be too far off, my tailgate handle is only a little off and that's because the texture is still there. If it was smooth It'd be nearly a dead match
