Default Procharger help on 2002

So I had to strip my P1SC because the lame laws in cali and the brilliant minds are ait have an eo number for up to 2001 and mine is a 2002. So now I am smogged and put it all back on and wouldn't you know I now have some funky rattling sounds like something feels lose.

Does anyone know what the torque should be for the mounting bolts through the plate? The instructions don't even give a torque which is bizarre. Also what is the real way to tighten the belt? Again the instructions are just a piece of junk.. I never had problems like this with my trd supercharger. The procharger worked nearly perfect prior to pulling it off so I must not have torqued something correctly. Should I replace the pulleys? What does it sound like when they start to fail?

Please help if anyone has procharger experience. My truck is down until I figure this out..

Could you get us a sound clip? Since it's not factory it'll be a little harder to help diagnose without being able to hear it.

Yes I will. Some additional information. When coming to work the sc belt split off the first two ribs towards the front of the belt.. very strange.

That means it either not torqued down properly, the tensioner is weak or something major could be wrong to allow the belt to move 3/8" to knock off to ribs.

What is the proper method of tightening and torque for the tensioner? The instructions are not very good. How tight should the belt be? How do I know when the springs are compressed fully? I called procharger and they said it was probably too loose but could not really describe how to set it right.

One last question do you do anything with the large nut on the front of the tensioner at all? I checked everything and it looks aligned properly but will check it with a straight edge tonight. Everything seems torqued right so not sure what to do at this point.

So tried to put the belt on that was run before pulling the supercharger and still have the same issue. Belt slips off toward front of car on the lower idler. I have checked tension and rechecked mounting and still cannot determine the problem. It must be the tensioner. Really frustrating.

Is it all aligned right? That sounds like your problem.
