Default Problem with overhead

OK, I haven't posted here before mainly because I haven't had a problem that I couldn't figure out, but now I'm kind of stumped and could use some help.

My overhead console has cut out. Don't know if there is a light bulb up there that has burnt out or if the digital has given up the ghost. Have even been able to figure out how to get it down without breaking it. Any suggestions to point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys.

pull the headliner down and smack the overhead down. thats what i did. it was easy for me though cz i have a sunroof. just pulled the plastic molding off around the sunroof and pulled the liner down a little and smacked the console down.

take a look at this. may solve your problem. (its from an awesome forum too)

overhead-console-temp-compass-68237 is the thread on the F150 forum that I found about this, I'm not sure if that's the same thread that pity7700 was talking about.
