Default Problem with air vent system

Air flow changes by itself back and forth from the dash to defrost and back to the dash. Are there leaky vacuum lines causing this or should I perform an "excorcism?"

That usually happens when there's a vacuum leak. When you accelerate, it loses vacuum and shifts to defrost. Start in the engine bay and check the lines, reservoir and check valve.

My 2000 E150 just started this a couple weeks ago. Did you get it fixed texrider? And was the problem inside the cab or under the hood. Thanks.
