Default Prerunner help?!?

I am building a prerunner out of my 1998 ford f-150 super cab, long bed. I just want to know if I can run just king 2.5 coilovers in the front? Or do I have to include the bypass shocks as well?

What long travel suspension kit do you plan to run?

You cant just run a coilover to be a "prerunner", you will still have the same amount of suspension travel.

Also, a true prerunner is one that pre runs a desert race such as BJ Baldwin's chevy blazer (google/youtube it). He actually uses it. If you dont, you just have a long travel truck.

Just know that once you go down the trail of long travel you can't go back. You will have to chop off all brackets for springs/torsion bars/shocks....etc and add on an engine cage, custom shock hoop to hold the coilovers/bumpstops/limit straps...

For our body style F150 a 2.5 C/O will work, but you will need more if you plan to launch the truck (I actually talked to KING shocks about this exact thing). Look up long travel kits for 97-03 kits, it will cost you $5-6k in parts alone if not more. That is about the cost of the truck itself hahaha But so worth it!

Like mentioned above, if you want to use the potential travel, bypasses are the way to go. 2wd or 4wd? I'm going to go with the blitzkreig motor sports kit up front and the giant motor sports daily link kit in the rear of my 02 supercrew.
