Default Preparing for KB 2.8 Blower Install

Since summer time is here and I have my BMW to drive(Lightning deal didn't go through) I've decide to CHARGE my FX4. I do quite a bit of towing and will be towing my BMW back and fourth from Florida to VA this winter, so I think it will be a good investment.

I've been debating on the KB 2.2 and 2.8, I want to do something different than most lightning swaps. I'll be breaking down the motor next week and installing heads, rods, main bearings, crank, and valve parts. Depending if they get the cobra heads in stock by then.

Had a couple friends help me install the 4R100 a few months ago, so tranny set up is fine. I added a high capacity radiator today, so just getting everything ready for the swap.

BTW unless you have 3 friends to help and 3 free days of work dont bother with the 4R100, removing cross members and lining that thing up is a TOTAL PITA.

The kit includes everything(air intake wise , blower, and intake manifold) but a fuel pump, so I'm gonna have to find one to deliver a little more fuel than the factory lightnings.

Even if you don't tow regularly, those 4qt radiators are double our factory size so I highly recommend them even if you arent doing any mod's. Really keeps heat down and the tranny cool.

Haha same here. Anything that will help cool the truck down is a good purchase.
