Default Power Windows

I know this is F150 country, but I need help on my kids 2002 Mountaineer. You guys have helped alot in the past on my 2002 F150. The Mountaineer forum sucks. Hope you can help.
Three of the four power windows will not operate, only the front passenger window works. I tried each control on the individual doors, same result. Would replacing a $28 dollar master controller in the drivers door be a viable option. Fuses all look fine. No damaged wiring seen. No other symptoms till the three windows just failed one day.
Any input would be helpful.

Your best bet is to go try out http://www.explorerforum.com - very very good site.

I know the 91 to 2001's very well. The 02 is out of my realm. Do the windows all fail to work on their individual switches on each door as well?

The 2002-05 Exploders/Mountaineers, all have one inherent problem, if the drivers door is used very very much, the wiring will crack in the door harness and break. I had an 02 that this very thing happened to.

Like White said, the Exploder forum is the best for any questions on them. If you go to their forum, then type in door switches, you will find the info I'm talking about. I highly doubt it is the control master panel. 3 of 4 not working is not the panel usually. Check the forum, check the wiring.

Note: 2002 up Explorers has a redesigned window regulator system that can be a nightmare to remove, should it be the window motors or similar problem.
