Passenger side window quit. Glass all the way down and I can't get to motor housing to try and unfreeze as I did once before 4-5 years ago. That time the window was all the way up and would not come down. Any ideas? Any specific fuse(s) to check? Everything else seems to work. Thank you.... 1997 F-150 4 x 4.

 

Last time that happened to me, I read an article that had you take the door panel off and take a mallet and bang around the window motor. Has worked for me twice now. Both times within 2weeks. No issues over a year now.

 

I did that the 1st time it happened a few years ago but now the glass is down all the way and I don't know how to raise it up out of the way so that I can bang on the motor again.

 

Like I said I had the same issue. Window all the way down. I removed my speaker and gave it a love tap. Rolled back up without issue.

 

Don't know what happened but this morning the window just decided to work. I was going to sit in the passenger seat and just open/slam the door while working the up/down switch. Ignition on of course but it just worked before I even got that chance. Thanks for the replies.
