Howdy gang, I was heading to my moms house and i roll the windows down to let the heat out wile im loading the truck, windows rolled down perfect(one click roll down on driver side only). When i get in my truck to leave i try and roll window up and it doesnt come up and i can hear the relay clicking. Before i drove to get a new relay i had to use one hand to push up on the window as i pushed the button to roll it up, it rolled up then, only with help from me lifting it. Now that it is up it will not roll down. New relay and still doing same thing. Relay clicking and nothing happening. I have a 1999 Ford F150 XLT. Is this a sign that the motor to roll the window up and down has gone bad ? Thanks gang.

 

Key on engine off, turn your dome light on and watch it when you press the button. Does the light dim ever so slightly? If so the motor is shot, if no dimming you have a wiring problem.

You can get the whole window motor and regulator assembly for about $63 from Amazon. They're not too hard to change. Should be some videos online.
