I've been having some problems with my power mirrors . The drivers side mirror only moves left to right and the passenger mirror is fine. But every now and then itll work. Any ideas to why it does this and how to fix it?

 

Replace the switch

 

To move my passenger mirror up and down, I usually need to bring it back to center between left and right. Then adjust it up and down, then back left. I can hear the motor, but it's like there's a gear messed up and it's not catching.

 

thanks guys I'll probably just get a switch from the junkyard and see if that fixes it if not then I'll just deal with it since it is the drivers side

 

Just buy a new one from ford. The last time I got one it was $13.
