Default power steering issue

Ok yesterday I pulled a yuey in the highway and cocked the steering wheel all the way to the left , in the middle of the turn I felt the wheel seize up then release and Walla! I was driving a Sherman tank! For the next 25 miles no powered steering, when I check the fluid it is topped off but the fluid isn't warm as though it was being circulated. There is no leak the belt is running smoothly there is just no assist..........can anyone help.

have you replaced your idler or pitman arm recently? try greasing the zerks fittings.
