Thumbs down Power Loss

2001 5.4 Triton. Seems to not have the power it used to. Im running 285 Cooper STTs and i can barely bust em loose even on wet pavement doing a brakestand, what could be the problem any ideas? Its got new heads, and Im hoping its not a head gasket but thats my best guess.

Do a compression test and post your numbers... power loss could be anything. A carbon-choked throttle body elbow/intake manifold, bad cat (smog type, not the meow meow type).. I've felt a power loss from cheap gas before.

lol I have the same problem but on mine u can put oil in the ground and you cant turn the back tires the truck just revs to 1500 thats it, It wont go past that. Still need to change plugs, COP, air filter hopefully that will fix it I already changed the fuel filter but that didnt fix anything.

how difficult is to do a compression test on these motors? Can I do it at the same time that Im doing the plugs?
