power door locks

Default power door locks

Power door locks sometimes works and sometimes don't move. Very rearly will they work. Any help, can I save them. 99 f-150

Mine used to do that. Unplug and take out the door lock switches. Carefully open them up with a small flathead screwdriver (you will see clips that keep them together). Once open spray some electronic contac cleaner on all the contact points and allow to dry. Once dry re assemble and you should be all good

I doubt that will work, these trucks are known for the power door lock actuators failing.

There is a resistor in there, that goes bad, as well. I saw a how to on it, but can't find the article. I'll keep looking.
