Default Possible new owner HELP.

Hey guys, I'm looking at an 03 screw lariat 5.4 w/118k 4x4. 1 owner. Runs and drives fine except 2 things I'm insure of. There is a slight rumble/hum( I DON"T FEEL IT IN THE STEERING WHEEL) when going driving pretty much at all speeds. It definetly needs tires so I'm guessing that's where the noise is coming. What do you guys think?? Also my MAIN concern is the driveshafts tranny and trasfer case. When I come to a complete stop and get ready to accelerate I feel a soft clunk(NOT HARD). I tried to twist and pull to get play from the tranny driveshaft it feels SOLID. BUT I tried the same on the transfer case shaft and I could twist it about 3/4 to and inch, is this normal. I really like the truck what do you guys think?? Thanks

Sounds like tire noise. Suggest driving along side of a wall with window open. Should give you a better listen. Original u-joints from ford don't have zerks.

Yeah it think its the tires. As far a the soft clunk/bump when coming to a stop, I think the yoke might need some lube. Do I have to take off the driveshaft to lube it.
