that was in park right after startup. ( the way we both start it is key on wait for pump to prime and dinger to stop start it and idle down then go ) and one click on the gas pump so it doesn't overfill.

So now you have a new problem ? It was idling perfect according to your pic.

it was but it did that right after we got gas. It's acting normal again though. I think the vacuum leak caused it to do that.

Sounds like you sucked up some fuel that didn't age well. My go to is Shell out here, but if you have a Chevron around. It's probably the best you can get.

There's a list on net of the better stations.

probably. It was Kroger gas because I got it for 50¢ a gallon. Anyway we changed it ( left the coolant lines and swapped the rest and so far idle is smooth and power is back. Played with a new scan tool. ( touch screen snap on one ) and it said one of the O2 sensors wasn't reading. It was the downstream one. That was the only code besides the Po1000 or whatever from unhooking the battery. Also noticed steam isn't coming out of the tailpipe as much when it's up to temp ( if none at all )

Damn , you went big on the scanner! Yea my 98 has been a steam thrower since new. That's all about the climate, but add high idle times and she's a regular steam engine lol. It normal in this case.

That thing was a nightmare to use.. it's the guys that owns the garage he had just gotten it a few days ago and hadn't used it yet because he hasn't had time so we said here lets hook it up and play with it a little because we had just gotten done with the truck ( he had a really old one and had 0 clue how to use the new one )

Yea, I'd be curios as well. But that phone app is really good. Probably the best I've seen for us, - unless your a tech and keep up to date with that stuff. Hell, techs even use the phone app lol. Well, for quick live data anyway. Great for going for drive, connecting to the data link and collecting live data.

and tube to throttle body. So far the idle is smooth and power is back when cold.
