I have a 2000 f150 4x4 and want to get new wheels and tires. I think I have decided on the wheels in the link but not sure if 5 is good for the backspace. What would you guys recommend. Also I think I have decided on the Micky Thompson stz in 32 x 10.50 do you think these would be good riding tires. I really dont do much offroad and dont really use 4wd unless it snows. I posted a thread similar to this in the general discussion forum but got no replies. My main question is what backspace do you recommend. I dont want them sticking way out the side of my truck but I dont want them tucked up in the fender wells either. Thanks

Mine are backspaced 4.5". They are 305/70r16's. They stuck out just enough but then again, not to much. They are perfect for me and look great IMO. Check into the Hankook Dynapro M/T, they were relatively cheap when I got them, have lasted 40k and still going, they bite hard off-road. Downsides, you HAVE to keep them balanced and rotated or they will wear bad and they are somewhat loud from mine being worn irregularly.

285/75/16. With -19 offset. Sticks out about an inch.

Thanks for the replies. I currently have 285 70 17 on there and am gonna get 16in rims but I think the 265 75 16 will look small. Now I'm really confused. Anyway I'm about to do the upper and lower ball joints today. I have the dreaded squeaky front end.
