its a 97 4.2 5 speed the spedo just suddenly quit working. its driving me crazy. i checked the fuse and its good. i saw 2 sensors on the tranny one was closer to the drive shaft than the other. which one is the speed sensor? also when i looked at oreilly their is acceleration sensors, vehicle speed sensors and abs wheel speed sensors. anything helps

 

I know when vehicles had speedometer cables that they went into the tail shaft housing on the transmissions. So that would lead me to believe that is where the speed sensor should be. The acceleration and abs sensor have nothing to do with the speedometer.
