Default Please help

I was driving to school today and my truck died. It will almost turn over but not quite all the way and when it finally turns all the way over and I put it in gear it dies again. Any advice is appreciated

You just get your license? Taking it to a shop is your best bet, unless you know someone familiar with automobiles. Yea, don't put in gear while the engine is turning over....wait until it starts or fires up first. Put your foot on the brake peddle, the move the gear selector to D.

I understand that I meant after it turned over I put it in gear then it died. But no I have had my liscense for about a year now. I also understand I have to use the brake then put it in gear after the motor has turned over. The fuel pump and the fuel filter were bad so i had it fixed today

Are you confusing turning over with engine running or starting ? You must be...now it makes sense.

Yea, - turning over = engine cranking. That's what occurs before she fires or starts

Engine running KOER = started, fired up or yea running.

In a sentence, - The engine cranks or turns over fine, -it just won't start.

Glad you found the problem.

Yes I was mixing the terms up. The filter got clogged and the pump burnt up after that cause it was trying too hard to put fuel in the engine
