i have a 98 f150 4.2 engine 2wheel dr. just replaced engine. got it from a 97 f150. i crank it up and it idles great. i put it in gear and it sounds great. in gear or out of gear as soon as i press on the gas pedal it sounds like might be a air intake leak. but it wants to shut off. now in park or nutrual i can play with the gas pedal and the rpms will go up. i try that in gear and it shuts down. any advice would be greatfull. i also have codes p0141,p0161,p0743,p0750,p0755 and p1747.

 

I would check into those codes, and get them fixed first off. Especially with code p0743. Being your Torque Converter Clutch, that'll cause major take off issues. Also code p0750 and p0755 being a shift issue won't help.
