I've got a 97 f150 xlt with the 5.4. I have a whistle/air noise coming from around my Steering column. It's only there when my foot is on the gas, when I let off it goes away. At first it only did it when it was cold and at lower speeds but is been getting progressively worse. Anybody ever herd of this or know a way to fix it? Any info is appreciated thanks.

Probably a vacumme leak in the dash. Does all your settings on your ac/heat work at all times?

 

Yes they do. I checked that. Thought it had something to do with it but it does the same with ac on and heat on.

 

Is there anyway it could have to do with my 4x4?

 

Check ur brake booster! seen them go bad
