Plastic welds?
In the process of pulling door panels off and redoing the vinyl that is on them, I also want to wrap the soft door handles as well.
To get that piece off, it looks like it is plastic welded on.
How can I go about getting them off, upholster them, and then put them back on?
I think I could dremel the welds out enough to pop them loose, but what about putting them back on?

figure out something.
you can buy a plastic welder at harbor freight for $40
or, theres glue, and screws, wire, blind rivets, etc.
Id play a bit with the welder first before I depended on it.
Id probably go with tie wires. Insert loops thru holes in the panel before recovering, and bring back thru holes on the doorskin, and twist up.
Zip ties would probably work great for that
