Pinion Offset
For anyone interested, the 10th gen, 8.8" pinion offset is 0.5625" to the right. To Ford, pinion offset is the location of the driveline, crankshaft to pinion gear, based on the rear axle center, flange to flange.
What Dana and Ford call the hypoid offset is also called the pinion offset by a lot of people and places. The hypoid offset is the distance from the centerline of the pinion gear and the centerline of the ring gear. For the 8.8" gear set it's 1.5".
FWIW, when installing a non-typical engine in to a vehicle, the new engine is located to line up with the pinion offset so the engine, transmission and driveshaft are perpendicular to the rear axle.
