Default Parking brake cable issues

My left rear cable is seized up and junk. Went to Autozone to get a new cable. They looked up my wheelbase in the system(139), and the cable comes up as 55in. The one on mine is 44in, which according to the Autozone system, is the cable for 120 wheelbase. My cable looks original, so I am assuming Autozone's system is wrong. I got the 44in cable, but it didn't come with a new spring on the end that goes inside the wheel(my spring was really rusty, and broke while getting the cable out). They didn't have a spring in the system that they could find. I went to Carquest, and they couldn't find the spring either. Is the spring not needed with the new cable? Or is it something that you need to get from Ford? Just weird that you can get all the brake hardware except for the spring at Autozone.

I would recommend going to the parts department of your local Ford dealer and determine what is needed and get a price from Ford. Then compare with the parts at Autozone and others to get the best price for the parts you need. It sounds reasonable to me that the cable and spring would be separate parts that would be purchased separately.
