Default Paint or no paint

Going for the red and black look but my tool box clashes. I know this is probably going to sound stupid and ghetto but does anyone have any ideas of painting an aluminum toolbox?

normal paint prep and rettle cans will work fine

sand, clean, prime and paint.

Prime and paint. Me and my buddy did it to his to black it out, looks good! It's chipped 2 places, but we didn't rough anything up, sand down, wash, or degrease the thing, and it's holding up well
