Default The pains of All-Terrains...

A few weeks ago I heard a big pop-bang on the body of the truck but assumed it was a tire excavating a rock and hitting the under belly. I was wrong, it hit the Port side rear door window frame. That's the Top mark.

Then today I heard it again and as soon as I got out I noticed the truck got kissed in nearly the same spot only lower. I think this means my truck is safer out on the trail than it is daily driving. I have yet to come back from a camping and trailing trip with any noticeable damage at all.

A few things,

*Next time I'm getting Mud-terrains.
*I have no idea how the guys with Flint-lip keep nice paint with their wheels hanging out.
&
*Now it's time to get big fat Fender flares.

Sure that was caused by your tires?
Are tires outside of fenders?

That is not widest part of vehicle, seems it would need to miss widest part, and curve inward to strike vehicle.

Depth of dents indicate large velocity vector inward toward your truck, not parallel to its motion.

Ive heard similar sounds while driving, but have no damage like that. But my tires are within fenders ( where they belong in my state(

The top of the fender over hangs by about an inch but below the arch the tires stick out more than an inch. My wheels and tire are right in that sweet spot that flings things upward that allows them to pepper right at that trajectory.
