I guarantee if you pipe it all the way to the back it won't be too loud on the inside of the truck. This video was taken with a phone so it's not high quality. But you get the jist of it. I got the xr-1 part number 40943. It sounds so mean you wont regret it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QFWRkuIP1KA
Sounds really good but I think that might just be a little to loud for me especially at WOT but hell it could just give to the tone that I'm lookin for driving normal. Any drone with that XR-1?

Just a little but just cause its dumped right under the cab. I'm gonna pipe it to the back and that should eliminate all of it.. I wanted it to scream at wot but be quiet during normal driving and that's pretty much what it is. I get all kinds of compliments from it. Go big or go home!

Not trying to steal your thread. I just have a fast question. I have a 99 4.6 4x4 auto trans. If I do a 3" body liftvshould I be able to fit some long tube headers or will I still run into other problems?

Yeah I hear you but I'm 33 years old and those days are past me for having loud exhaust systems plus I've been in the diesel world for a long time and basically having to relearn alot of things about gas burners especially the exhaust side of it.

I had pro xs on my other truck and you couldn't even hear it. It still sounded good but it wasn't quite as mean it was a little smoother sounding instead of a growl like the xr-1. Course I still had all the cats. I know that one didn't have any drone at all. I'm fully convinced that pipes to the back would make it much quieter. Borla does a good job of muffling the noise. You can't go wrong with either one

Yeah I'm thinking and hoping without the cats the Borla Pro XS is going to give the tone I'm looking for because I'm not wanting to spend a pile of money on different mufflers. I guess I'll find out in a couple of weeks.
