I have a 25 watt marine PA hooked to my cb. And it is definitely louder than yelling out the window haha. Plus it's cost efficient. Mounted it behind the front bumper.
And when to use it...? Honestly I usually use it coyote hunting, I'll park on top of the field and plug up the call to it haha. And plus it's fun to yell at people

I had a wheelen siren p.a system. Had it mounted in my center console I have bucket seats in my truck. It is the same p.a system emergency vehicles have. I sold it to a boy that offered me 200 bucks for it tho.

Just a heads up, using a PA on public roads is illegal in most areas, check locals laws but I know in NY its considered "Emergency equipment" and it can be considered impersonating an officer to use it on the roads.

I'm not using it on public roads. Just using it for when my group of friends go wheeling. Makes it a lot easier communicating with each other

Well yea, don't be an idiot with it. But if I'm driving down the road and see a buddy I'll holler at em. Just be smart

Just figured I'd put that out there. With people talking about using it to yell at bad drivers, thats a very easy way to get the attention of a cop or get the cops called on you. If you're only using it off road thats fine, and if you're smart an only use it for people you know in less densly populated areas, thats fine too.

Personally I think there are a lot more bogus laws up in the liberal part of the world I.e. New Jersey and New York. I'm pretty sure down here in Texas you can do what you want with a p.a. I know I could plug a microphone in my radio and it would be louder than most p.a.'s

I understand you're just giving me a heads up, but it doesn't mean it's going to stop me and others to mount them on OUR trucks. So if anyone can help me out with brands and pictures of where you mounted them. It will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
