Default P1747 Code Help

Hello,
New to the forum! This seems like a great resource. My 1998 Ford F-150 4.6l V8 just threw engine code P1747. It still runs, but occasionally lacks power after a downshift. Rpm's will drop from 2500rpm-1000rpm. Seems like some sort of connection issue somewhere. I was wondering, How would I go about troubleshooting this. Should I be checking for shorted wires? and where would they be? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank You!

The wiring harness had shorted out because the heat from the exhaust melted the insulation on the wires and connector for the 02 sensor, sending me a bunch of codes that all had I thing in common:;the wiring harness to the computer.

Default P1747 bad solenoid or electrical? 2000 f150 4.6 triton v8

Howdy, I'm new here so I have code p1747 and codes for all 4 o2 sensors the sensor codes have been there but the 1747 is new, my question is how difficult is it to change that particular solenoid? Or any other suggestions to find out if I have an actual electrical short. Solenoid ohms good and not so sure about wires, when I ohm out wires going back to PCM two pins goes to ground and I don't know if they are supposed to.

If memory serves, p1747 is the code for an EPC solenoid problem. I went down a serious rabbit hole when it happened to my truck. I went through the wiring harness looking for a short or open circuit to the solenoid. I even swapped out all the solenoids and internal transmission wiring harness and still had the code. Finally the only thing left was the ECM. I replaced my ECM with a unit from FS1, synced the modules using forscan, and I havent had any issues since.
