Default P0713 code

Ok, Bought a 2002 F150 FX4. Love it. But, My overdrive light started flashing, went to O'rielly's and they found the code P0713 was high. Said coolant level was low. My radiator is full as well as the jug. It seems to shift just fine with some occassional hickups drive in overdrive. Feels like a miss, but, may be ? a transmission clutch slip? Can anyone help me? Kindof a newbie to this Ford thing. I don't want to ruin the transmission so soon after purchase. It truly is in beautiful shape. HELP?

P0713 Ford - Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor 'A' High Input

What does this mean?

Possible causes

- Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor circuit poor electrical connection.

When is the code detected?

Transmission Control Module (TCM) detects excessively high voltage from the fluid temperature sensor.

Possible symptoms
- Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
- Possible shifting problems

P0713 Ford Description

The Automatic Transmission (A/T) fluid temperature sensor detects the A/T fluid temperature and sends a signal to the Transmission Control Module (TCM).

Sorry if these are stupid questions. But I would like it fixed, and only have to drain the transmission one time. I plan to replace the filter while I am in there. Anything else?

The TFT sensor is part of the solenoid harness.
