I was hoping to get out from under it and get a screw before something else went wrong and for more room since I have this bad beauty now.

I'm still a full time college student so i really wanna wait till I finish in Dec to upgrade but I think it's gonna happen soon.

replaced the plug and changed the wire. still acting the same.

Yeah. Would I be able to spot a valve problem with the cover off?

U should be able to if its not moving or doesn't look right
