Default P0174 Plenum Bolts

I have a 99 f-150 with the 4.2 V6. I've narrowed down my problem to the Plenum Isolator bolts, as seen here. https://sites.google.com/site/fordf1...P0171P0174-Fix

However I'm not sure if my truck is the same. It's a 99 vs the 2000-2004 shown in the guide.

I would appreciate any information you guys have. I try to avoid buying parts that wont fit

Thanks!

Anybody know anything about this? I would like to fix this sooner rather than later.

Your engine is the 4.2 L Essex V6, Which was made from 1998 to 2003. so I believe it would be the same fix. not sure if the one writing the article just didn't know, or if there is some secret alteration that ford did in 2001.
It sounds like there are multiple causes to trigger this code.
There is this 15 minute video, with cool soundtracks, that tells you about how to fix.

Thanks a bunch. I've ordered gaskets for the top half of the engine. The Plenum looks different on my truck (and the coil is in a different place) than the 2001-04 models.

I guess I'll play it by ear and let you guys know.
