Default Overlay billet grille question

Hey guys, so right now I have my overlay billet grille attached to my stock honeycomb. In the daylight you can clearly see the honeycomb behind it up close. I was wondering if there was a way I could take the stock honeycomb out and just lay the billet overlay grille inside. How would you guys do this?

Sell it and buy a replacement billet, not an overlay.

Search for f150 billet grille with the year of your truck. Look for the ones without the center emblem cut out.

My over lay don't have the center cut out. Mine was solid and I relocated the ford emblem to mount on it.
