overhead console.
ok quick question. did they ever offer an overhead console with a clock instead of a thermometer.
I can open the door and feel what the temps like.
or has anyone retofit one

By that logic... you can look at the radio and tell the time
But no I don't think they ever had a clock. Don't know that anyone has ever made a clock version... since ya know the radio displays it lol

after market radio. have to switch through the display button to see the clock. but I understand what your saying. just was curious if they had one.
my old truck (99 mitsubishi montero sport) had the clock in the location of the temp gauge. just what im used to. kinda convenient.

You could always stick something like this up there.

But my point is, outside temperature is very useful sometimes.
Theres a big difference between 33 and 31 F when its sleeting, and knowing your on the edge of trouble is nice information to have sometimes. Driving thru a weather front, or elevation changes, temps can change suddenly and dramatically over a few miles. If you dont take long trips in winter, not as important.
Some of my favorite memories of trips were driving thru winter storms across TX, NM, on way to/from CO ski trips. . Found outside temps very useful in those cases. When temps drop below freezing, start seeing cars in ditches and jacknifed 18 wheelers. Makes for fun trips.
Once i was driving in fog on interstate in NM at 3am, my windshield starting coating with ice, wipers just shuttered over it. Got out to clean it.....busted my ****. Entire road was glazed in ice. No wonder i wasnt seeing any other vehicles. Drove 25 mph in 4wd until sun came up, saw no other vehicles till then.
