The same thing happens to me but its off most of the time. We give it a good wack and it will work again, for at least a little bit anyway, so i was wondering how to fix it or get a new one. I know that ford discontinued them, but thats all i know.

i saw a post once of how to fix them, you need to get the circuit board, then sotter, i spelled it wrong, a piece that sticks up, search it and you will find it. I took mine apart and nothing was broken.

sounds like a cracked solder connection on the circuit board.

You should be able to take it off and see where the solder is missing. remove the philips screw towards the windshield and pop it off from the clips that hold it on, and unplug the connector so you can take it out and look at it.

take the unit off the roof, open it up to the circuit board and there should be 5 black resistors on the right side of the board. make sure they are all soldered in place and dont move.

Here is a video how to do it;

Very inexpensive to fix, assuming it's just the resistors.
