I'm restoring a 71 f100 shortbed 4x4 3 spd on the collom v8 not sure the size but my uncle owns a salvage yard in walls ms an I am putting a late model fuel injection engine Switchover in it but I want a 5 speed trans and a 5.4 but i don't think 5.4 had a 5 speed should I go auto 5.4 or manual 4.6

 

Some 5.4's come with manual 5 speeds and im pretty damn sure its the same tranny that you're talkin about with the 4.6 man

Yeah they're kinda rare but my buddy used to have one and it was pretty sweet. I can do some research to see what transmission it was if you want me to

Its a M5OD. Its found hangin onto 5.4s, 4.6s, and 4.2 V6s lol
