Default Oil Question

ok, so i think i should go ahead and change my oil and i don't know what i should actually use so i was wondering if anybody could actually suggest what would be best

my truck is a 1999 4.6L V8 with 166k miles
i mainly just drive to school and work (about 20 miles a day on average)
i live in the city so the only extreme conditions it faces is the normal texas heat and don't use it for any heavy caring
i am a teenager and like to gun it sometimes

and also since i'm asking
my mom's car is past due for a chance, 2004 ford focus 2.3L V4 with 86k miles it's driven like an old woman's car and never goes above 55 unless i'm driving it

Good choice Valvoline. I suggest what I use in all my vehicles: Wal-Mart Supertech 10W30 full synthetic.

My 02 is 5w20 - I just picked up Motorcraft at Wally world for just under 12 bucks (for 5 quarts of course)

I suggest Motorcraft oil - Ford brand, and it's cheap! Can't beat a synthetic oil change for 18 bucks! Only part I don't like is the filter change - Who in the world came up with that location?? I'm just glad mine was hand tightened.. Has anyone had one that was wrench tightened?? How do you get a tool up there?
