Default Oil Hose

there is a hose with a part on it coming out of the place you put oil into. It is making a noise that sounds like it needs replaced. I have no idea what it is called or what it is. I just finished up changing my plugs and had to pull this out to get to my #3 and #4 plugs. It is making a noise, checked everything else and it is fine please help so I can get a new one or is there a way to stop it from making the noise?

Its your PCV valve. Is it comin from the hose itself or where it plugs into your valve cover? If its just the PVC valve its around $3-4 at and auto parts store. If its the hose itself, probably gonna have to go to the stealership.

I think it is the PVC valve. How would I take it out?

Just pull it out of the hose. The 90° elbow will or should be in there pretty snug.

You're gonna want to replace the whole hose. The valve is actually part of the hose. Dealership cost is about 40 bucks. Just pull both ends out and put the new one in.

If the hose is alright you won't have to replace it. And no the valve is not part of the hose, its connected to the hose.

No they're 2 separate pieces, wasn't trying to sound like a ***** btw. Just tryin to save the op some cash. A motorcraft pcv is around $10 and the hose is like $30-35 round here. The link I put on is for an 01 F150 5.4, don't know why it didn't list that info

I was told that they are 2 separate pieces as well, but This is on tight. Looks nothing like the one I have. All in all I will take the whole thing off and try to separate them. My PVC was rattling so hopefuly this will stop it from making noise. Thanks again to everyone

Eh I don't know what yours looks like but my hose separated from the Pcv valve when I changed mine yesterday just took a lot of wiggling. The valve was a $2 part at auto zone. It just pushes into the valve cover with pressure. Try breaking it loose and wiggling before throwing away 40$. I've got a 99 5.4L
