I peeled mine off the drivers window a while back. I bought some pure ammonia and put it in a spray bottle. Sprayed it on the window and let it sit for abotu 20 minutes keeping it wet the whole time. Started peeleing at the corner and it came off pretty well, if it started to tear, I just sprayed and waited.
It did not come off in one piece and did use a razor blade to get it all off, but ammonia makes it easier.
It also works much better if it is hot. A hair drier or heat gun makes it much faster.

As for the Black Magic tint, never used it, but I used some "professional grade" tint from Pep Boys about 10 years ago. Went one easily and looked fine for the 5 years I had it. Never bubbled, and it did fade, but did not turn purple.
