My odometer only reads when it wants too, seams it has to get warmed up, any suggestions????

 

Those trucks were known for the digital odometer now displaying all the time. Its because of a poor connection at the display. My '99 does the same thing, but mine works sometimes and doesnt work other times with no real set of conditions where it works or doesnt work. It still counts the miles, the display just doesnt work all the time.
From what I understand, you can clean up the connections at the back of the display with a soldering pencil and it will fix the problem.
