Question OBX LTH's / best prices?

(2001 5.4 4x4)

Does anyone know where the best price is right now? The cheapest I can find is $475 which is msrp according to their website.

Do any of our vendors sell them? It seems like most of the vendors here only deal in 04+. (as always I'd also prefer to buy from an active forum user/vendor but I understand that might be asking too much.)

..and No, I'm not open to the idea of using headers made with Mild steel and have long been known to have crappy welds.. ..Even if that's what you're running.

I don't know anyone selling headers with crappy welds. Who does that? Tell us so we know.

Alright scratch that, what do you mean by "no cats?" You on the fence about that one?

OBX kits have options for 2wd/4wd with & without converters. I was just saying I need the catless option in the title.

lol, of course I'm going to tune it. You can't do all the work that I'm doing and not custom tune it.

Alright, just making sure. Yea, you have to with no cats or you'll lose.

If you want GOOD headers go with Dynatech or a Cooks refab. The problem with OBX is they're a thin gauge stainless and you here a lot of engine noise echo under the cab. You here the injectors running as well lol. Up to you, you can do better tho.

OBX and most other price conscious brands all seem to use 16ga steel and the same thickness flange. I'd prefer the 14ga but that's the price I'll pay for the cost difference.

The sound difference you hear is probably the more dense stainless steel transmitting more sound. I don't really think that's an issue for me.
