OBDII code issue
papa tiger, that is a lot of great information. I just replaced the cap this afternoon when I got to work, I killed the light and drove it 15 mins home. The light has not come back on as of yet, but 15 mins may not be enough so only time will tell.
However if the light does return I will begin the tear down to get to the Vapor Canister and report my findings.
Thanks again everyone, I have no idea why I didn't sign up for this site sooner. lol

DTC Code: P0455Description: Evaporative Emission System Leak Detected (Gross Leak/No Flow)Probable Causes:1.Sensor or solenoid faulty2.EVAP system - Check fuel cap, canister, valves or components3.Vacuum leaks, damaged hoses or improper routing4.Wire harness - Check harness for correct voltage, open, short to ground or short to voltage5.Connector terminal contact is damaged or corroded6.Update control unit software - Check for the latest control unit update7.Powertrain or Engine Control Module faulty
What has happened is the ECU runs tests. Some of the tests I/M sensor tests take time to complete and get interupted. When you drive again the test starts back up. It is probably an EVAP test and it is Incomplete. Meaning it either has a vacuum leak, or a failed systems componant. You need a code reader to read the codes, Freeze Frames and I/M tests. Document them as there is too much info to remember. A high quality code reader will graph in real time allowing you to test the probable area of Malf for better diagnosis of PIDS. A failed heater circuit in an O2 Sensor acts this way also.
