My '98 f-150 has a 4.6 and has started making an ugly nose when I start it up in weather in the 30's or below. It sounds like there are shards of metal being throw around in the engine, but the noise only lasts a minute or two. I never hear the noise when the engine is warm or when i start it warm or in warmer temps. Any ideas?
