Lol? Yea you've got metal all around under the truck. Hitch, bumper, frame, axle, ball, bolts...etc.

It might be a good idea to bring it to a shop. It doesn't sound like you have much for mechanical skills.

First off take off the plug at the frame, clean it good. Reinstall it. crap gets in there. Then check the wireing ground. Ford screwed the pooch on where it is. Then check. If still not working its the plug. Dont waste time fixing it just go and pickup a new full plug and wires for 32-50 bucks. Also check all your fuses. Went through this on my old truck one winter.

Ok. How did Ford screw the pooch on the trailer wiring? Every truck out there has it in the same location.

What I mean is wherwe the plug is for inbetween the main harness and the tail light harness. Rams have it at the tail light that is dry. That's where a friend of mines 2005 has it. And now they are putting the plugs in the bumper

Ram's from 93 up to 2005 or so, had some of the worst, thinest, lightest wiring used on the market. You had to have special wiring run to the back for campers, trailers etc, if they carried any kind of current load. I was doing RV's and Camper's and hated when Dodge's came for add on accessories for towing. The Mexican wiring was a freakin' nightmare to work on and most had to be run a parallel wire to carry the load for trailer brakes or on truck Campers. The wiring has improved, but with the use of SBJ's (smart junction boxes) the load can only be so much before you have major problems. This is why I wouldn't buy a Dodge.

I dont disagree with you. We broke wires just taking the tail light out when we added his fith wheel plug. Just who puts a harness plug where it can be in water, snow, etc. Even with seals, I had dirty and water. Their still in the same spot but atleast the moved the trailer plug to beside the rear plate. My 00, I drilled and put mine in the bumper, after I ripped it off in the woods.
