I'm guessing your fairly new to towing issues. Not know what the too loops are for under your bumper. Just a novice question. That or new to trucks altogether. Not meaning to come off as a idiot just saying lol. If ya look behind bumper under truck you will see a wire harness also that is to add the trailer harness adapter that plugs and unplugs when ya tow. Ok that's all I know I think LOL.

And whatever the k&n plus the gots mod seemed to give me a little more but it mainly just made it sound better. I also stated that it was probably all in my head

As for my Uncles truck, I think he lost the circular adaptor you mentioned because it's not in the truck. I would ask him where it is but I doubt he'd know. The truck was in storage for 7 years before we got it and the interior was full of crap. Any idea how much it would cost to add an under the bumper style hitch with the adaptor? I see holes where it could be bolted in under the truck so it doesnt look like it will be too hard to install.

If you are located near a pull a part or another salvage yard I got my hitch for $25, I had to pull it off the truck but was worth it in savings!!! It was a factory Ford hitch, I would look into that if I was you!! Lol

If you are just towing a light utility trailer or small pop up camper you can just mount a ball in the hole in the bumper. Any thing over 3000 lbs it would be wise to install a reciever hitch. They can be had for under$200 at parts stores, wallmart or on line. most aplications are simple bolt on and if you need a light hookup there are plug and play setups available. If you plan to tow heavy loads [above 3,000lbs] in most states brakes are required to be legal and safe. Just the fact that you dont have a hitch tells me the truck was not built to tow. Im not saying it wont but you might have heating and suspension proplems if you overload it. research and ask ? you will learn you just have to sort through BS sometimes on a forum.

I dont't really plan on using it anytime soon or for heavy towing. I was just thinking of putting one on incase the need arises. Thanks again guys

One other thing, not very expensive insurance for your transmission, get an external cooler for it. You will need it when towing.
